Commissioned Artwork

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. I’d love to work with you to create a memorable piece of artwork. Commissioned artwork is collaborative between collector and artist. I will listen to your ideas, as well as share my thoughts, and send frequent work-in-progress images.

CREATIVE PROCESS: If you live within 200 miles, I prefer to travel to you to discuss the project. You can show me the space where the artwork will be displayed, as well as sharing your thoughts for the commission. Perhaps you wish me to express your horse or dog in paint: He Wore Nothing But a Smile; capture a special memory: Captiva Cay, or express a sense of place: El Cerro.

If working long distance, please send me several high resolution images. After studying your images, we can discuss by phone your ideas.

Once we discuss the direction of the commissioned piece, a formal contract will be signed by client and artist. Frequent communication between artist and collector ensure that the work proceeds to satisfaction.

I work in a colorful, expressive, contemporary style. I do not paint formal portraits, though I do capture the likeness of your pets and children. I look forward to collaborating with you to celebrate a special person, pet, or place or to create a special memory.

COMMISSION A SPECIAL WORK OF ART

Equine Paintings

I am a passionate equestrian. I have ridden, trained, and rescued horses all of my life. Touching horses daily, as well as riding them gives me intimate knowledge into anatomy, biomechanics, and most of all- the spirit of the horse. I use these insights in portraying the horse in noble.
